An 82° angle of view and a close focusing distance makes it ideal for a multitude of photography scenarios including landscapes, architecture and interior photography, group and event photography plus general travel photography.

The Distagon Optical design consists of 10 glass elements in 8 groups. Its floating element design is combined with 4 double sided aspherical elements to help reduce aberrations throughout the focusing range and deliver consistent edge-to-edge sharpness with reduced distortion.

Image quality is bolstered by the inclusion of a T* anti-reflective coating on the lens surface, effectively minimising reflections for greater image clarity, contrast and colour fidelity.

Autofocus is controlled by a smooth linear motor design which delivers, fast quiet operation. For manual focusing scenarios, an ergonomic rubber ring offers greater tactile control for critical focusing applications.
