The Manfrotto 055LC Leveling Center Column is an innovative system designed for select 055 series tripods. It enables quick, independent leveling of your photo or video head, separate from the tripod. Featuring a built-in 50mm half ball with a 15° range of movement, it allows precise adjustment of the plate angle without affecting the rest of the tripod.

Locking and unlocking of the half ball is achieved via a turning grip on the bottom of the center column.The half ball-mounted plate has a male 3/8″-16 screw for attachment of a photo or video head, and a bubble spirit level for added ease of use.
