The Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens Sony FE has an ultra-wide zoom range, manual focus ring, de-clickable aperture and a 37mm rear filter thread. It’s incredibly compact, measuring less than 10cm long and weighing less than 0.5kg. With a minimal focus distance of 15cm, it’s perfect for shooting architecture, landscapes, nature photography and video. It also has an anti-dust and moisture coating to protect against the elements.

With an impressively versatile focal range, the 10-18mm lens is designed for full frame sensors and is the widest lens currently available for the Sony and Nikon mirrorless cameras. 14 Elements in 10 Groups

Wide-angle lenses can be tricky to design and making them with a zoom function can be even more difficult but Laowa have managed to create a optical construction that successfully minimises distortions as well as chromatic aberrations. The optics use 14 glass elements, 2 aspherical and 1 extra-low dispersion element that have been carefully arranged in 10 groups to deliver edge to edge sharpness and excellent optical performance.

5 Straight Aperture Blades

The lens uses 5 aperture blades to create stunning 10-stroke starbursts from point light sources, even when shooting at the widest aperture of f/4.5. Urban cityscape shooters and night photographers will love how easy it is to add dramatic starbursts to their shots.

Manual Focus Control and De-Clickable Aperture Ring

Designed with a smooth all-manual focus ring, the lens has distance measurements clearly marked on the barrel that allow for precise focal adjustments. The lens also features a manual aperture ring that can be de-clicked for the smoother exposure and depth-of-field adjustments required by videographers.
