Autofocus is fast, accurate and virtually silent thanks to a built-in linear autofocusing motor. The linear motor eliminates ‘focus hunting’ and delivers a smooth, quiet focusing, ideal for shooting movies.

An advanced 5-stop Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) system further adds to your creative potential. A quartz oscillator and high-precision gyro sensor built into the lens provide improved movement detection from high and low frequency bandwidths, allowing you to shoot with slower shutter speeds and longer focal lengths without the risk of blurry images. The powerful OIS system is also useful in low-light scenarios by allowing you to shoot with slower shutter speeds without resorting to flash or tripod use.
